The Woodpecker story
The Woodpecker brand has been in the capable hands of the Ker family for three generations. Founded by Bruce in 1973, the passion for working with wood to create the finest flooring that runs throughout the company today, all began in his garage in Wales. His son, Nelson, was instrumental in growing the business and now grandson Darwyn is at the helm.
They can’t do it all alone of course, and the extended Woodpecker family are a team of expert craftsmen and women who love wood as much as the company’s founders.
Each floor in the Woodpecker range is as historic as the company itself, with each piece beginning life at least 100 years ago. Through the years, the wood has increased in depth and character, lightening up your home with its own unique and wonderful story. It’s planting 50,000 oak saplings covering 200 acres of countryside around its South Wales location.Woodpecker wood floors are carefully grown, selected and crafted by experts, with a promise to the environment at every part of the process.
